It's official.
I have tonsilitis.

Also, a tip for everyone to keep in mind:
Having a syringe full of a viscous liquid injected into your gluteus maximus hurts quite a bit.

But, then again, so does tonsilitis.

I once had to have an injection in the same spot. The doctor pulled out this large syringe with a long needle, and said `The first part of the contents of the syringe is actually a small local anaesthetic, because it's quite a painful injection'.

Well, being kind of needle phobic, that really got my heart going.

Weirdly enough, it was pretty much the least painful injection I've ever had. Helped with my needle phobia too.

Well, I'm not needle-phobic, and the doctor gave me the choice of whether I wanted the (penicillin)injection or not, on top of the normal course of oral penicillin.

They gave me what I think were oral pain-killers (I forgot to ask what I was ingesting). Anyway, the site of the injection feels okay now.

Ohhh, Jacob, I'm so sorry.

Tonsilitis sucks. I hope you're feeling better really soon.

I will take your word for it as far as the syringe is concerned.

Good luck. Well, not that you'll need it but it's me offering my good will regardless. Hopefully it remains relatively painless from now on! ^_^
