Engineered to be enjoyed
Well, I have to say I was a little disappointed by the motor show.

Sure, there were plenty of very spiffy cars to look at, but I was expecting to see a few more showpieces.

Where were the space-age concept cars?
Where were the "celebrity" vehicles? (There's an old photo floating around of lukeii and I posing in KITT, for instance).
Where were the active demonstrations, and noisy revving engines?

Basically, it was one big new car showroom.
Not so much a motor show as a car lot.

Oh well, there were some pretty special cars on display.

And it was nice to sit in some of the vehicles that I would potentially like to own, as well as drool over the "not in a million years" sports cars.

I think we decided that the Peugeot 206 is the way to go.

That's probably not the latest model, but you get the idea.

It's a snazzy little three-door, with all mod-cons, and rather comfy interiors.
I think it was around $26,000 for the model we saw at the show.

The Citroens also appealed.

Did you go during the day?

They normally have a "sound-off" type thing outside at night with the engines and/or stereo systems.

We were ther on Friday night.

The only special event they announced was Sir Jack Brabham making an appearance.

Whilst I'm sure many would have found this an amazing feature of the night, it didn't exactly excite me to see an 80-year old Formula One driver.

No offence to Sir Jack, I just don't like F1.

Yeah, but the photo of us in KITT was taken at a theme park in the USA, not at a Motor Show.
