How old is Luke Skywalker in A New Hope?
Because Obi-Wan, Owen and Beru seem to age very badly.

Maybe it's just the desert climate.

Actually, just looking at Luke and Obi-Wan, if you take the ages of the actors as the ages of the characters, it is 26 years between III and VI, and in that 26 years Obi-Wan ages 29 years, so not that far off.

However, from his behaviour particularly, I always took Luke to be about 20, which makes the disparity closer to a decade.
Oddly enough, Leia seems more mature and could more believably be 26, but Carrie Fisher was 21 at the time, around the assumed age of the characters.
That put's the age disparity at 8 years.

It's John Connor all over again.

On some original Star Wars merchandise, the age of Luke and Leia was put at 16 years.

you know i did have a wonder about Obi Wan's age when watching it last night. And poor little Yoda, the next 20 years obviously weren't good for him

The way the dates go, Ep.1 is 30 years before XI, Ep.II is 20 years, and Ep.3 is 17...so I guess Luke and Leia would have to be 17, and that's what I always presumed Luke to be, but I agree that Leia seems older, but not as old as 26.

According to that Wikipedia page, there's at least 19 year gap... but that's probably counting from the start of the movie.
