Thought for the day
If you never opened the box, Schrödinger's cat would eventually starve. So, whilst it's both dead and alive to begin with, in a couple of days it's just dead.

Unless it's Schrödinger's immortal cat, it's going to be dead eventually.

And if it is Schrödinger's immortal cat, the experiment is moot, because it won't be affected by the release of the poison.

Well, there's two different meanings of the word immortal, in my view.

There's immortal as in it can't possibly die, in the way you might say that the Judeo-Christian God is immortal. Then there's the immortal that applies to pretty much everything you ever actually use the word immortal for: vampires, the guys from Highlander and Tolkien's elves can all be killed, but will live forever otherwise.
