Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah...
Batman!

For lukeii and anyone else who cares.

The site also sells a bunch of other TV shows that aren't widely available.

It doesn't quite seem 100% on the level, so Caveat Emptor.

I'm still hoping to find Full Frontal on DVD somewhere. All I can find so far is a "Best of" and the first season. Not exactly what I'd like to see.

Not a massive fan of Australian sketch comedy.

I think a 'best of' might be worthwhile; so much is filler.

I haven't really seen too much sketch comedy that I'm really fond of, but Full Frontal is the exception. That said, it has good moments and bad moments, but from the third season onwards there's really a lot of good stuff.

I can say a similar thing about a show like Black Adder. It's not until the later series that it really starts to feel witty. (I think Rowan Atkinson plays intelligent-mannered characters better for starters.)

The problem I have with a "best of" is that it's not up to me to choose which ones are the best. Besides, after watching seasons 1-3 on Foxtel, I'm sure I'd want pretty much the whole of season 3.

Black Adder is an easy one to explain.

Series 1, which is very hit-and-miss, is written by Richard Curtis & Rowan Atkinson. Series 2, 3 and 4, which are all pretty awesome (although they do get progressively better) are written by Richard Curtis & Ben Elton.

Ben Elton is just so good.

On an unrelated note, which you may already know -
Microsoft forced Mongoose to drop the XP from Paranoia - so the reprints of the core rulebook are now called 'Paranoia: Service Pack One'.

LOL

Actually they initially just dropped the XP.

Service Pack 1 was an errata to it, and newer print runs are called Service Pack 1 to show they have already been fixed.

Ah, I see.

Also, I should be picking it up from Mil Sims during their sale next week (I hope). Which means it should only cost me around $45.
Jacobyak_boy on May 31st, 2006 01:30 pm (UTC)
Actually, it may have always been subtitled 'Service Pack One', and they were just forced to drop the XP.

It looks to me like they are pressing the DVDs themselves, probably from DivX episodes or worse, copied from VHS.
Jacobyak_boy on May 31st, 2006 01:11 pm (UTC)
Well, they do have a money back guarantee.

But then, so do most sales scams.
It's a question of whether it gets honoured.

I am very strongly considering buying it though, because I love that show, and I just can't seem to find it elsewhere.
Jacobyak_boy on May 31st, 2006 01:22 pm (UTC)
Well, it costs less than I thought it did.
Outlier Man: ?lukeii on May 31st, 2006 01:26 pm (UTC)

Shipping is US$45!
Jacobyak_boy on May 31st, 2006 01:27 pm (UTC)
