From _megalomania_

1)How old do you wish you were?
25 seems pretty good to me.

2) Where were you when 9/11 happened?
I can't really remember, but I know I was oblivious until the next morning, when someone said to me "can you believe what happened?" or something.

3) What do you do when vending machines steal your money?
I generally thump it a bit. Then I either forget about it, or if I'm bored I take down the relevant numbers and apply for a refund.

4) Do you consider yourself kind?
I try to be.

5) If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?
If I had to? I don't know, where is this hypothetical regime going to place our barcodes?
On the other hand, I am actually seriously considering getting a tattoo on my left upper arm.
I believe in the t-shirt rule for tattoos - any tattoo must be covered when wearing a t-shirt.
That's a rule for myself, I don't actually object to visible tattoos. I just think they can make life hard because prejudices do still exist.

6) If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be?
Italian, German or French.

7) Do you know your neighbors?
Not really. The guy in flat 1 is very friendly, but I don't even know his name (although I know he barracks for Collingwood). I say hello to the rest in the block, particularly the guys in number 12 and the girl in number 11. I almost never see my direct next door neighbour - shift worker is my theory. Other than that it's pretty much crazy cat ladies.

8) What do you consider a vacation?
An American word for a holiday?
I'd like to travel more, and I'd like to go camping more (possibly the wrong time of year for that). I'm thinking I should go to Sydney for a weekend, because I've never done it. Anyone up for it?

9) Do you follow your horoscope?
Don't get me started.
I think astrology is the absolute worst kind of bullshit mumbo jumbo.

10) Would you move for the person you loved?
Without question.
I love Melbourne, and it will always be home, but I would actually jump at the chance to live elsewhere.
Preferably only temporarily, however, I don't like the idea of leaving here forever.

11) Are you touchy feely?
Sometimes. Just ask those who were at the Conquest after-party.

12) Do you believe that opposites attract?
No, I think the opposite is more true (pun intended).

13) Dream job?
Writer of films and/or comic books.

14) Favorite channel(s)?
TV channels?
The Bittorrent network.

15) Favorite place to go on weekends?
Nick & Kim's place or Jarrod & Liz & Mel & Mark's place or Jarrod & Lauren's place or Cooroo's place.
Wherever my friends are, but mostly I prefer it to be at someone's place.
I like to talk to my friends.

That said, I had a great time dancing at moorekittie's birthday, which forces me to at least partially reconsider my dislike of "clubbing".

16) Showers or Baths?
Showers for cleanliness, baths for relaxing. Duh.

17) Do you paint your nails?
Not often.

18) Do you trust people easily?
Sure, I guess.

19) What are your phobias?
The way I see it, I'm not afraid of heights, I'm afraid of edges.
Other than that - loud noises, social embarassment and having things go into my ears.

20) Do you want kids?
No, but thanks for offering.

21) Do you keep a handwritten journal?
Not since year 7, when it was a requirement for English class.
That pretty well started my obsession for writing my angsty thoughts/poetry in excercise books, but I haven't really kept a journal since per se.

22) Where would you rather be right now?
Here's fine, but it would be nice to be travelling the world.

23) Who makes you feel warm and fuzzy?
That would be telling.

24) Heavy or light sleeper?
I can have trouble getting to sleep, but once I'm asleep, I'm not easily roused.

25) Are you paranoid?
About some things.

26) Are you impatient?
Not especially.

27) Who can you relate to?
That's an odd question, and I don't quite know what it means.
I guess I have a hard time relating to stupid people, if that helps.

28) How do you feel about interracial couples?
I am saddened that anyone would feel the question would even need to be asked.

29) Have you been burned by love?
Yes, but generally it was worth it.
I mean, that's not to say I wouldn't want things to have gone better, but the time I had was worth the pain at the end.
Like life, really.

30) What's your favorite pick-up line?
That blouse is very becoming on you.
If I were on you, I'd be coming too.

Not that I'd ever say that.

31) What's your main ring tone on your mobile?
The Adam West Batman theme.

32) What were you doing at midnight last night?
Gritting my teeth and hoping for a goal (or three).

33) What did the last text on your cellphone say?
"We're going to a family dinner, I'll call you after"
He didn't call until the next day. Bastard.

I crashed on the couch watching Star Trek.
Sad, but true.

35) What color shirt are you wearing?
I am wearing a dressing gown. It is navy blue.

36) Most recent movie you watched?
Half of The Matrix.

37) Name three things you have on you at all times?
Mobile. Wallet. Keys. (Didn't have to change this answer at all).

38.) What color are your bed sheets?
Blue with yellow stars, suns and moons.

39) How much cash do you have on you right now?
A bit over $25 in my wallet.

40) What is your favorite part of the chicken?
Breast.

41) What's your favorite town/city?
Melbourne.
If I can't choose my home town, I choose Florence, Italy.

42) I can't wait till:
Australia qualifies for the next round of the World Cup.

43) Who got you to join LJ?
It was lukeii, who offered me an invite code (remember them?). I declined at first, thinking I would never use it. Recently I shelled out almost $300 to get a permanent account.

44) What did you have for dinner last night?
I think it was vegetarian food from Tofu Shop.

45) How tall are you barefoot?
About 5'7"

47) Do you own a gun?
No, and I wouldn't if I could,

48) What do you prefer to drink in the morning?
Either apple or pineapple juice.

49) What is your secret weapon to lure in the opposite sex?
My social awkwardness. I have never made the first move, ever.

56) Where do you think you'll be in 10 yrs?
Still looking for questions 50-55?
Successful writer, I hope - but I wonder if I really think it matters.

57) Last thing you ate?
A Tim Tam.

58) What songs do you sing in the shower?
Whatever's stuck in my head

59) Last thing that made you laugh?

Er, not that she's a thing.

Peanut M&Ms, if that fits the definition.

63) What song do you want played at your funeral?

*groans* :P

Invite codes!!! I remember them. Ahh the good old? bad old? old days.

$300? Yeouch. Then again if I could afford it I'd probably be doing the same. It's all I can do to renew my paid account when the time comes up.
Jacobyak_boy on June 13th, 2006 02:21 pm (UTC)
Well, the permanent account thing was a one-time offer, and being cashed-up at the time I jumped at it.

That said, it is strictly a bad deal financially, since it eqautes to about 10 years of paid time - and the internet will probably not resemble anything like we know it in that time.

Still, Livejournal is my absolute number 1 website, and I consider it a donation.

I remember 9/11.

I was living in Errol Street back then. I was online, and mikeybidness IM'd me saying something along the lines of "If World War III breaks out, it's been nice knowing you".

I then went across the road, and the Jarrod/Jarrod/Loz posse were all watching the looped footage on the tv.

The next night, I rented out Executive Decision, which I felt was fitting for the occasion.

Jacobyak_boy on June 13th, 2006 11:39 pm (UTC)
Sounds good.

I'm glad that you had fun dancing at my party. I was so glad that you came!

I can't imagine you wearing a dressing gown...

49) What is your secret weapon to lure in the opposite sex?
My social awkwardness. I have never made the first move, ever.

You probably don't want to.

Clearly, I already tried...

Did I miss something?

I don't get it...
Jacobyak_boy on June 18th, 2006 10:59 am (UTC)
I think Robert is trying to let us know what a player he is.
Kittymoorekittie on June 18th, 2006 12:30 pm (UTC)
Oh, of course.

Don't know why I didn't see it earlier.
Robet Éivaayvah on June 18th, 2006 11:13 am (UTC)
I hold all the cards from the socially awkward deck.
Kittymoorekittie on June 18th, 2006 12:33 pm (UTC)
Oh, I see.

I never actually said I was socially awkward. I just made reference to the fact that I've never made a first move.
Jacobyak_boy on June 18th, 2006 12:33 pm (UTC)
I said I was socially awkward.
Kittymoorekittie on June 18th, 2006 12:37 pm (UTC)
No, I know.

I just thought he was under the impression that I meant the same thing. I don't think I was clear about which part I was actually talking about...
