You look a lot like...
I had a very odd experience today. I was walking through the city and I saw a girl, a couple of years younger than me, who made me do a double-take because she looked a lot like my girlfriend from year 8.

Then I guess you could say I did a triple-take as I realised she was walking next to my girlfriend from year 8.

Of course, being the coward that I am, I just kept walking.

Sister?
Clone?
Custom-built android?
Simulacrum?

As with the number of licks that it takes to get to the center of a tootsie-pop,
The world may never know.

I'm fairly sure it was her sister. They were also walking with a woman that I would guess was their mother.

Tulper?

Wha?
escarpeescarpe on August 6th, 2006 03:40 pm (UTC)
A Tulper is a Tibetian thought form. Unless I'm remember it wrong or I can't spell, basically a being that you "think" into existance at first it takes the form you want it to and does as you will but if you keep it around for to long it can develop a will of it's own...I think I remember something about a Tibetian priest ministering to the poor in two provinces and people getting supicious about him dabbeling in black arts. Something like that.

OK, similar to a Golem, but not made of clay.
escarpeescarpe on August 6th, 2006 03:48 pm (UTC)
Basicly yes,
Although a Golem can never have a will of it's own, yet in Jewish tradition many things can go wrong with a Golem, like a Tulper which in most stories ends up killing it's master and assuming his identity (which may be some comment on real vrs fake and why should you care) but in my sleep deprived state makes me wonder how many other cultures have legends of supernatural servants with things that go wrong...oh gee me sentance form good!

I can think of Hatian tradition of Zombies and never feed them salt...??
OK not that many then.
Me bed go now.
