You know what more rock bands should have?  

This is a conclusion I reached when I was lamenting the fact that I missed out on seeing Cake perform live.

However, it was great seeing Rod Quantock, he is such a personable comedian.
His show was really like sitting around and listening to the ramblings of one of your more opinionated mates.
Of course, it helps that I share most of the same opinions, unlike the rather poorly informed family at the show who left with the rather hilarious comment, "It was a bit left wing".
Calling Rod Quantock "a bit left wing" is like calling the pyramids "kind of old".

I didn't really miss out on seeing Cake because of Rod, they were on the same night, but I'm not really in the financial position to be paying to see international acts at the moment.

My mum bought the Bill Bailey tickets, which I don't think I've mentioned in this journal.
He was awesome, by the way.

You'd like ska music then...I used to be obsessed with it when I was younger...real big fish, the very VERY early days of No Doubt were ska etc
