TV Shows that aren't actually on TV here (yet)
I finally got around to watching the first of the new Dr Who series...

Damn you, Christopher Eccleston!
Why did you have to be so good?

He is absolutely perfect in the role, delivering the quirky humour with aplomb.

Kudos to the BBC for retaining the sensibility of the original, whilst updating for the 21st Century.
I was very happy that the plot for the first episode was far-fetched and cheesy, yet exciting and action-packed.

I hope the rest of the season is as good.

I also watched the first episode of the new season of Family Guy.
And, although it may not be the best Family Guy ever, I still thought it was fantastic.
Far better than the rather lame American Dad pilot, but lukeii reckons the second episode of that is excellent.

I have also discovered an awesome show from two guys better known for their comedic magic show.
Penn & Teller's Bullshit.
It's kind of hard to describe the show, but they basically take a belief (the latest episode is about circumcision), and show why it is bullshit.
But, they do it in a really funny way.

I guess you just have to see it.

The way Penn talks reminds me of Lewis Black.

I guess it's the same kind of "I'm pissed off at how stupid you are" attitude.

I actually do like the smugness, I think it's a new persona for a new doctor, and I think it works well.

I've only seen one episode, however, so I'll get back to you.
