Mmm... Hot Dogs
I think that, for my North American readers (all two of you), I should preface this with a discussion of exactly what a hot dog is. OK, obviously you guys have hot dogs, but as far as I can tell, in the US at least, a hot dog is generally 100% beef. To me, that makes it a Bratwurst, and those should be fried, no question. Here a hot dog is usually pre-cooked, heavily processed pork, an unnatural pink colour, of uniform consistency and sometimes, but not always, with a bright red skin (no idea what that's made of). Now that I think about it

The more you put on a hotdog the better. Means you can't taste the hotdog. Also, that you have something to distract you from wondering what does make up the 'pink'.

Hotdogs should be stuck on sticks and cooked over an open camp fire until they are just black. Mmmm. Perfect.
