Can we get a marsupial biology lesson over here, please?
From the Wikipedia article on Crash Bandicoot:

Crash is a Perameles gunnii, of the order polyprotodonta, family Peramelidae, commonly known as the Eastern Barred Bandicoot. He is a marsupial, which means that he is born with a built in fanny pack.

(Emphasis is mine.)

It would be wrong to laugh at that, wouldn't it? :P

Depends on what you're laughing at.

I just edited the post to make it more clear what's wrong with that entry.

As funny as it is, it isn't the word fanny.

I think I'll pretend that I noticed the gender mistake right from the start, instead of being easily amused by the idea of pouches described as fanny packs.

Yes. That's what I'll do ;P

But the word fanny is funny.

A lot funnier than people who think that male marsupials have pouches - which they presumably use for storing personal effects.

Very true :)

I remarked on the pouch issue the first time that my son described the game to me.

If marsupials were into transgender surgery, it would be a logical choice for the metrosexual bandicoot. "I'm still a guy. This just makes it easier to carry my car keys."

It's only a matter of time before the human body-modders start trying to add pouches. I wonder if there will be a way to add a zipper top.

I have enough pockets, thanks.
