Peep Show
Last night, after Melbourne Victory's glorious win to go through to the A-League grand final, and after a few celebratory bevvies at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, I went with a couple of the Spurs lads to watch Peep Show, to kill time before the Spurs v ManUre match.

No, it's not like that you dirty-minded sod. Peep Show is a British sit-com starring comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb. It's classic odd-couple territory about an uptight office worker, and his layabout wannabe-musician lodger. Sounds like pretty standard stuff so far, but the main twist in this show is that you are constantly privvy to the inner thoughts of our main protaganists, with much of the show actually shot from the character's point-of-view. And it's very very funny.

Anyway, after watching all of season 1 we trundled off to the Dickens to watch the Spurs game. After a long day, and not feeling the best, the smoke in the Dickens was getting to me, so I left at half-time when we were 1-0 down. Kind of lucky I did, as the Spurs went on to take a 4-0 spanking.

Still, on the way home I listened to the tail end of the replay of the SEN call of the Victory game, and when James Robinson scored the winning goal, you'd have thought the commentator's head was about to explode. Awesome stuff.

Anyway, to give you a taste, but not spoil anything, here's the very first scene from the first episode of Peep Show.
