Other than the basic "I'm voting for the Greens, with ALP in the two-party preferred", some highlights of the interview:
Interviewer: Would you say the Workchoices legislation has been overall good for Australia or overall not good?
Interviewer: And has the Workchoices legislation changed the way you are going to vote in the upcoming election?
Me: *laughs* I'd have to say no, I'd never vote for the Liberals anyway
Interviewer: Do you think it's better that John Howard hasn't retired as leader before now?
Me: That's an interesting question
Interviewer: I thought so, too
Me: I guess I'd have to say better1
Interviewer: If there was another referendum held for Australia to become a republic, would you vote in favour of it?
Me: Well, I did last time, so I don't see why not2
1. Seriously, Peter Costello as PM? Can you imagine it? Is there any better reason to not vote for the Libs in the upcoming election?
2. I'm still convinced that John Howard deliberately set up that referendum to fail. Maybe next time they could, I don't know, actually consult the Australian people about what they want before putting a decidedly unpopular model up for the vote.
