Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Charlie Kaufman is my absolute hero.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen.
Clever, funny, moving, with that trademark Kaufman absurdity (c.f. Being John Malkovich and Adaptation).

Somehow Jim Carrey, the modern day Jerry Lewis, is also one of the best dramatic actors around.
Rant and rave and argue if you will, but this man has real talent.
For some reason it seems that comedians do really well in the transition to drama (c.f. Tom Hanks, Bill Murray).
I think this has to do with the fact that the best dramas have at least some element of comedy (c.f. Magnolia, Fargo or any other of the Coen brothers' dramas).

Anyway, go and see this movie (unless you don't like "arthouse" films, in which case you should probably go and see Strange Bedfellows).
