Mage: The Ascension
Last night peachofpain started running Mage like I begged him to do months ago.
It looks like it could be very interesting, not least because of the lack of experience amongst the players (lukeii, Graham, Morgan and myself).

Sadly for Morgan, it was deemed necessary to veto his Euthantos character on the grounds that Luke's character and my character would both have very serious problems with him because, for seperate reasons, neither of the characters could abide the idea that this mage might consider it OK to murder someone.

So, our cabal ends up consisting of:

A Roman Catholic bishop, of the Celestial Chorus (played by Luke)
A scientist, inventor and crime fighter/investigator, of the Sons of Ether (myself)
A homeless, drug addicted, uber-muscly behemoth of a man, of the Cult of Ecstasy (Graham)
A voodoo blood-sacrifice type guy, of the Verbena (Morgan)

Writing this, I realise I know very little about Morgan's character. I should remedy this.

Anyway, I have everyone thinking of my character as a kind of Batman figure (which is what I originally envisioned), but on reflection I think it would be more suitable for the campaign if he was more of a freelance forensic investigator, rather than a SuperheroTM. Not the least of my motivations for this shift in style is the realisation that a flamboyant, violent, vigilante-style criminal hunter is likely to suffer a very early, very sticky demise, especially in a setting like World of Darkness.

Wow, it's good to see that people still play the table-top role playing games.
gosh I miss those days when I would make games so my friend's could play them.

I will actually be looking for people to sort of beta-test my worlds and my table-top game systems that go with them. Of course it's free and everything, I am just looking for people who I can snail mail my stuff to, and would actually play it and give me feedback.

Let me know if you would be interested in something like that, of if you know anyone that would.

Well, I don't actually play all that much, the Mage game is the only one at the moment, and I don't really see myself playing enough to be a good playtester. You could ask lukeii, because he is a much more serious gamer than me. Then again, he may be too busy.
