You know in things like Star Trek when there is an alien or an android that doesn't quite understand human emotions? Spock or Data, basically.

But there are other examples, like when The Terminator asks John Conner if he has something wrong with his eyes.

Anyway, I'm talking about those moments when the alien/android says something that shows they don't quite understand human emotions.

I swear the commentators at the Olympics (at least the Australian ones) must be aliens or androids. They are constantly saying that a particular athelete is feeling or showing "a lot of emotions". It is always the unspecified "emotions".

It's as if they are just starting to understand that humans have emotions, but are yet to figure out which one's which. They are confused when the atheletes cry, because they can't tell happiness from grief.

Okay, I'm only going to tell you this once:
Any athelete who just won a gold medal is not feeling "emotions".
They are feeling "happy".
